In addition to a 1.5-mile walking trail, the Blue Stone Trail also runs through the park, connecting you to James Madison University and many of Harrisonburg’s favorite businesses. This paved trail not only allows you to explore Harrisonburg on foot: it also provides a safe surface for smaller or senior pets who prefer an easier walk.
When it’s time for some off-leash fun and socializing, take your dog to the Smithland Road Dog Park. This large dog park offers separate spaces for large dogs and small dogs, making it easy for every pup to find a safe place to play.
